Senior System Engineer (all genders)

Your tasks will include the creation of customer-specific software architectures and concepts for automation systems, as well as the design of varied PLC projects in machine and plant engineering.

Your assignments

Development of customer-specific software architectures and concepts for automation systems, consisting of PLC, robotics, image processing and project-specific software components with internal libraries (high-level languages - C#)

Team coordination from various specialist departments, moderation and coordination of work packages with each other

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and hands-on mentality within a dynamic environment

Layout and creation of designs according to optimal technical and economic aspects, in compliance with legal requirements, GMP guidelines in a regulated environment (including documentation e.g. Functional Specification (FS), Software Design Specification (SDS)) including the definition of tests and test concepts

Interface definition and integration of in-house developments and standard products into the process control level (process monitoring and control) of customer systems (such as SCADA, MES or ERP)

University Degree

Technical or university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology or mechatronics

Professional Experience

Several years of practical experience in PLC programming in an industrial automation environment (with Siemens TIA, or Beckhoff TwinCat3)

High Ability to incorporate

Good understanding of IT infrastructure aspects: Operation / dimensioning of databases (SQL), networks and virtualization 

Programming Experience

Knowledge of software architectures and programming experience on Windows systems

Personality

Enjoy designing new solutions and taking responsibility for your own decisions 

Language Skills

Good communication skills in German and English
